Local Ambulance LGBT+ Networks

Each NHS Ambulance Service has a LGBT+ Network and a range of support mechanisms. In this section you can find out more about each network and how you can connect with them. Working with local networks we can also provide some information about other local services and support mechanisms.

Staff Network

Formerly The Pride Network, Proud@WMAS, has relaunched the staff network.  Through our inclusive ethos our aim is to bring together LGBT+ staff, those who want to support their colleagues to be themselves at work and those who want to learn more to help tackle the health inequalities and stigma that the LGBT+ communities still face.

Our aim is to provide a supportive forum to share best practice which, in turn, will influence internal policies, procedures and training to support our staff as individuals whilst improving care for our patients.

Additional Support

The contact for emergency support is the Staff Advice and Liaison Service (SALS) who can be contacted on 01384 215 880.
