Local Ambulance LGBT+ Networks

Each NHS Ambulance Service has a LGBT+ Network and a range of support mechanisms. In this section you can find out more about each network and how you can connect with them. Working with local networks we can also provide some information about other local services and support mechanisms.

Staff Network

The LAS LGBT Network was originally established since the year 2000 and has seen the co-chairs be mentored and supported into posts on any given changeover of colleague, which has allowed the success to build with the experience of others.

The network is actively engaged with local organisations offering awareness courses to support colleagues and patients alike.

The network has been successful each year in our application process to Pride in London, with us always having more colleagues than allocated places, demonstrating the inclusivity of our workforce and the heart of the city of London that we serve.

As a network we have the support of our board and a senior leadership sponsor who offers us that direct feedback, support and mentoring to ensure we are continually supported.

More recently we have expanded our support for more representatives across all elements of the trust to support local areas and to reach more people through community engagement.
