LGBT+ Past, Present and Future
The National Ambulance LGBT+ Network is proud to announce that our National Conference 2026 will take place on Friday 31 July in Brighton – the home of where our national network was founded.
With the theme 'LGBT+ Past, Present and Future', this year’s conference will celebrate the journey of LGBT+ colleagues and communities across ambulance services, reflect on the progress we have made together, and look ahead to the future we continue to shape.
We are delighted that the conference will be hosted by South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, whose support and commitment to inclusion make them a fitting partner as we return to the city where our network began.
Brighton holds a special place in our history as the city where our network was founded. Returning to our roots provides a meaningful opportunity to honour the pioneers who laid the foundations of our work, recognise the resilience and achievements of our members today, and inspire the next generation of LGBT+ leaders and allies within the ambulance sector.
The conference will bring together colleagues, allies, partners and leaders from across the UK ambulance community for a day of reflection, learning, collaboration and celebration. Through keynote speakers, panel discussions, and shared experiences, we will explore how understanding our past empowers us in the present and strengthens our future.
Further details, including programme information and registration, will be shared in due course. We look forward to welcoming you to Brighton as we come together to celebrate our history, champion inclusion today, and build a stronger, more inclusive future for all.
Together, we honour our past. We lead in the present. We shape the future.
