Greeting from Amsterdam
Dear fellow LGBT ambulance workers
We would like to introduce ourselves. We are the ambulance nurses, ambulance EMT drivers, staff, logistics, preparations, ambulance academy and all other workers at Ambulance Amsterdam, the regional ambulance service for the Amsterdam city and surrounding area.
For the last three years we attended the annual Amsterdam Gay Pride boat tour with our own 'ambu-boat'. It was great to be there! This year we will take part for the fourth time with a renewed 'ambu-boat'. Funding of this boat is provided by the Directors of Ambulance Amsterdam as well as the workers society and the colleagues who take part in this boat trip.
Last year several LGBT colleagues wanted to provide a more solid basis for the LGBT goals and colleagues. We got information from the UK and especially about the NHS Ambulance LGBT Network. We invited them for our boat tours last years but unfortunately your conference was at same time as the Amsterdam Gay Pride weekend. We certainly do hope some want to take part at one of our coming boat events.
Our LGBT Network has several goals; the main one is to provide support and information to LGBT colleagues and also (potential) patients and the general public about what we stand for, equal care and equal rights for everyone.
When in Amsterdam, do enjoy the city and when you want some more information or just to shake hands or make a picture with one of our staff or ambulances, we will be glad to welcome you!

Use of Rainbow and Trans Star of Life Logos
The rainbow and trans star of life logos are registered trade marks of the National Ambulance LGBT Network. Both logos are currently being reworked to incorporate the registered trade mark symbol.
Permission is granted for NHS Ambulance Trusts, and more specifically their LGBT Networks, to use the logos to promote events, inclusion work and to assist with staff awareness. Non-NHS Ambulance Trusts must not use either logo without permission of the National Ambulance LGBT Network committee. Representation should be made to the Chair or Deputy Chair in the first instance.
We are in the process of updating our branding and and style guidance and until this is complete we ask NHS Ambulance Trusts to comply with the guidance notes available below.

The Next Three Years (2018 to 2021)
This vision was first presented at our third birthday event in August 2018.
