Being Visible in Our Communities

The National Ambulance LGBT Network is working on a number of projects designed to improve the visibility of LGBT staff within the service and promote Ambulance Services as inclusive employers.

Preparing for Pride Events

Organising involvement in Pride events on behalf of the Ambulance Service can be a daunting task. Our pack will guide you through all the things you need to do and also provide examples of posters, briefing notes and other useful documents from around the country.

We have included some example documentation used at previous events to help guide you on constructing your own. These are examples and you should always seek guidance and approval from your Communications Teams for any documentation that is public facing.

Example briefing document (from Yorkshire Ambulance Service, 2017)

Example information leaflet (from North East Ambulance Service, 2016)

Example press releases will also be included in the near future.

Security Advice for Pride Events

If you are involved in arranging any public engagement events, we suggest you take note of this short briefing. In response to the recent terrorist events, we want to make sure we improve our security and keep people safe.
