Simon joined Yorkshire Ambulance Service in 2008 as a PTS Ambulance Care Assistant. He progressed through the urgent tier and then into front line A&E operations, eventually finding a home within the growing team of healthcare professionals working in urgent care. Simon is currently on secondment as Interim Clinical Governance Manager for our NHS 111 team, helping to keep our patients and staff safe.

A Registered Nurse and keen LGBT advocate, Simon is passionate about making the workplace a fair and safe place for everyone and champions equality whenever injustice is found both locally and by being involved with the National Ambulance LGBT Network.

Simon is Co-Chair of the Yorkshire Ambulance LGBT Network and played a key role in developing a trans staff awareness tool for use within the Trust. He is very much looking forward to another year of Pride celebrations, helping spread the message that equality is for everyone, everywhere, everytime.
