The National Ambulance LGBT Network was created in August 2015 with the purpose of bringing together all NHS Ambulance Service LGBT staff networks, as well as providing an overarching support body and promoting equity across the United Kingdom

Emergency Operations Centre Dispatcher, Yorkshire Ambulance Service

Sally joined West Yorkshire Metropolitan Ambulance Service in 2001, initially as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher, taking 999 calls. In 2003 she retrained as a Primcary Care Assistant and progressed though operational roles to be an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.

An injury meant Sally returned to the Emergency Operations Centre in 2012, now in Yorkshire Ambulance Service. She got involved in with the LGBT Network after attending UK Pride in Hull in 2017 and has since gone to to lead a Trust project on improving the experience of trans patients.

Sally is passionate about LGBT equality and said, 'this is a challenging area to tackle and I am really looking forward to being involved with the National Ambulance LGBT Network'.
