The National Ambulance LGBT Network was created in August 2015 with the purpose of bringing together all NHS Ambulance Service LGBT staff networks, as well as providing an overarching support body and promoting equity across the United Kingdom

Ash joined the NHS after leaving school and has worked in a variety of roles, most recently joining West Midlands Ambulance Service in 2016 on their Student Paramedic programme. Ash is currently in the final phases of his training at the University of Worcester and is looking forward to contining to work as a Paramedic within the West Midlands upon registration.

West Midlands Ambulance Service formed the 'Pride Network' in 2013 and has recently re-launched as Proud@WMAS to engage with the ever-changing workforce. In 2017 Ash was elected as Chair of the network and is keen to grow and develop the network both locally and nationally whilst remaining a safe point of contact for LGBT staff.
