The National Ambulance LGBT Network was created in August 2015 with the purpose of bringing together all NHS Ambulance Service LGBT staff networks, as well as providing an overarching support body and promoting equity across the United Kingdom

Originally from a nursing background, Adam joined West Midlands Ambulance Service in 2005 as an Emergency Medical Technician and became a Paramedic in 2008, he has remained in an operational role, except for an eighteen month secondment within the Corporate Services Directorate of the Trust during which time he was delighted to be awarded an Outstanding Innovation and Change Award by Association of Ambulance Chief Executives.

Adam is an Elected Councillor and represents the Upper Gornal and Woodsetton Ward on Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, through this role, Adam sits as a member of West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority, the public body which governs the Fire Service in the West Midlands.

Adam has been a member of the national committee since its launch and looks forward to playing an active role in developing the network.
